Overview

After having upgraded to Webnative builds 2020.5, 2020.7, or 2021.1 and using XinetSMB_1.4_RedHat7_Samba4.x.x, copying files to Xinet Samba (SMB) volume share no longer works. When copying files, warnings are raised on Windows and macOS. The same operation works in version 19.2.1.

Solution

The issue was addressed in Xinet Server and Portal version 2021.2. Follow the steps in the "Upgrading Xinet" article and install these or newer versions to take advantage of the fix.

Testing

Try copying files to Xinet SMB volume share and make sure no warnings occur.
