"License not valid" error after HDD rebuild


After rebuilding the HDD on your Xinet Server, you might get the following error when trying to access the portal:

"License [license number] is not valid on this machine."



The Xinet license must match the Hardware ID of the associated server. Changing or modifying hardware components, such as the HDD, can alter the Hardware ID.

Request a 5-day emergency license by following the steps in Getting an Emergency License.

Once generated, the Operations Team will start creating your full license. You should receive the final license before the expiration of the emergency license. If you do not, please get in touch with your Account Manager directly.
