Overview

Preview is not getting generated for a PSD file. Checking the log reveals the following information/message:

[Tue Feb 25 19:03:05]mkfpo (12547): image "/raid1/logos/CARS2.psd" known but unsupported format

This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to resolve the above error.

Process

1. Open the affected PSD file with Photoshop and then navigate to Image > Mode.

2. Under Mode, verify the following:

   • The option Duotone is unchecked (Not supported by Xinet).

   • The option 8 Bits/Channel is checked (Xinet does not support other values for Bits/Channel, like 16 or 32).

     

3. Please make the required modifications to the file and update it in Xinet.
