Files are previewing images from another folder while using AFP connection and a Mac machine

Overview

While users are connecting via AFP and a Mac machine and traverse to a folder they see file previews from a separate folder. The file name changes automatically to a different file and then will revert to the correct one.

Solution

You will need to check the configuration on your AFP connection to make sure it has been set up correctly.

You can also check if there are any specific errors in the at_log file that could point to which part of the configuration needs to be looked at.
