Overview

While using macOS, you may face issues with Xinet volumes mounted though AFP (Apple Filing Protocol) not showing as connected on the Sidebar. This article provides the steps to troubleshoot this issue. 

Process

You need to show your local machine in the Location Sidebar by following the steps below:

1. Click on Finder and open the Preferences panel.
   
   
   
   
2. Navigate to the Sidebar tab and check the first checkbox with a computer icon in the Devices section.
   
   
   
   
3. This will help to access network and mounted storages in Finder.
   
   
   
   

Confirmation

You will be able to see the AFP volume for your Device’s name on the Sidebar.
