Overview

When opening the 'upload' window on a site. It would appear that the upload window takes longer to open when your current folder has a large number of files in it. This issue has been found in Xinet 19.2.

Solution

Since the current new version of Xinet of writing is 2020.7, the delay in opening the upload window was tested against Xinet 19.2 and then was tested again after an upgrade of the same instance to Xinet 2020.7.

The below is the results of testing for both Xinet 19.2 and after upgrade to 2020.7:

• For Xinet 19.2: ​
  It takes 25 seconds: for opening the loading window when the folder contains 3502 files.
  It takes 76 seconds: for opening the loading window when the folder contains 12697 files.
  
  
• For Xinet 2020.7 "after the upgrade":
  It takes 6 seconds: for opening the loading window when the folder contains 3502 files.
  It takes 11 seconds: for opening the loading window when the folder contains 12697 files.​

The above tests prove that the performance issue will be solved by upgrading to Xinet 2020.7.

You can use the Xinet Portal to download the Xinet version 2020.7, and after upgrade to set memory_limit = 15360M to /etc/php.ini at the Xinet portal, and restart httpd service.
