Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for the Xinet 2022.3.2.

The primary goal of this release is to resolve various issues and improve overall functionality.

Features

This release includes several important fixes aimed at enhancing user experience. Notable improvements include:

• Resolved issue where versions were lost when an asset is overwritten via a mounted SMB drive (XINET-23520).
• Restoration of missing resource forks when mounting via SMB on macOS, ensuring better navigation to folders (XINET-23441).

Installation

The latest installation files for Xinet can be found on the IgniteTech software distribution portal. Reference the Knowledge Base for installation instructions. Adobe plugins for Xinet can be downloaded from the Adobe Exchange website.

The following operating systems and components are certified for use with this version:

Server

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Server 64-bit version 7.8
• CentOS Linux 64-bit version 7.0 (2003)

For file server connections, Samba v4.12.0 and PHP 7.4 for Portal site generation are required.

Client

• Operating Systems: Mac OS 10.15, Windows 10
• Browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox (latest versions for supported operating systems)

Xinet Adobe Plugins

• MacOS: Adobe InDesign 2022 (v17.0.4), Adobe Illustrator 2022
• Windows: Adobe InDesign 2021 (v17.3.1)
