Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for Xinet 2026.07.09.

Summary

The Xinet 2026.07.09 release includes fixes for search, Portal navigation, database upgrades, file synchronization, and RHEL 7 to RHEL 9 conversion. It also improves error handling when Solr is unavailable. 

Highlights

• Improved Advanced Filename search for terms longer than 18 characters.
• Fixed descending filename sorting in Marquee Browse.
• Resolved annotation comment errors after MySQL 5.6 to 8.0 upgrades.
• Improved folder navigation performance in the Marquee central panel.
• Fixed the Has Each advanced search operator.
• Improved reliability of RHEL 7 to RHEL 9 database conversions.
• Preserved Portal permissions and authentication during conversion.
• Added support for filesystems using large device IDs.
• Improved error reporting when Solr is unavailable.
• Fixed database-backed searches under MySQL 8.

Note: Customers upgrading from Xinet 19.x releases to RHEL 9 must complete an additional pre-installation step before upgrading.
